July 2013

We started out the month with getting haircuts.  Some liked them more than others...

See??? :(  Poor little guy!!

Madi didn't like it very much either...

But my cousin Alisha did a great job, despite the little cooperation!

I finally did it!!  I cut my hair!  I swore up and down, that I would never do the short mom hair cut, that quite a few women do after having a baby.  But when you have practically 2 babies, you don't have an hour to do your hair each day!  I am still getting used to it being this short, but it is much cooler and faster to do!

I just can't get enough of how cute this boy is!!!

Love this man!!

We have been able to go to Trafalga (another perk to the Pass of all Passes).  We attempted to play mini golf.  I was pushing the stroller with Lucas, and Mike was trying, (keyword, TRYING to help Madi...)

After she hit the ball, she went running to go get it! :)

We were able to go to Mike's sisters house for the annual Robbins 4th of July BBQ.  It was so much fun!

Here is Lucas in his cute 4th of July outfit.  The kid is obviously teething, because he always has his hand in his mouth!

We are so eternally grateful for all the liberties that we enjoy.  We are grateful to those who have served, and those who do currently serve, for us!!

We were also able to attempt a camping trip this summer with our cousins.  It was only overnight, but it was miserable!!  Let's just say, that we were "That" family... The one with the crying kids.  Finally at 2:00 am, we all ended up in the car, where we put a movie on for Madi to get her to fall asleep.  Mike and I pretended to sleep, but really, how much sleep could we possibly get in a car?  :)  Needless to say, we were up before those who were going fishing... It was a very long night.  We realized why those with young kids don't go camping... :)  Oh well.  Maybe when they are a bit older. :)

We were still able to go down to Payson Lakes and spend some time with the Smiths.  Here is Madi, cuddling with Nate on his lap.  It was one of the few times she was actually sitting.  The angels were definitely watching over her.  She fell into the fire pit once.  Luckily, we didn't have a fire started.  She was covered in ash, and it scared her quite a bit.  Did it stop her from wondering still? No.  But we were so extremely grateful that we hadn't started a fire.

Needless to say, Madi was FILTHY when we headed home.  This is after she took off her sandals in the car... Her sandals still haven't come all the way clean! :)

This was one of those times when Lucas was super happy!  So cute!

Madi loves to climb in Lucas' car seat.  Granted, it was once hers, but not anymore! :)

I was just playing with Lucas... :)

Look at that adorable smile!  :)  I just can't take enough pictures of him smiling.

We were able to go to the American Fork Parade.  It was tons of fun!  The only bad part was that Lucas DID NOT like the police/fire truck sirens.  He cried and cried!!  Poor little guy!

July flew by, and we can't even believe how fast the summer is going! We have loved all the family time, and hope all is well with our family and friends.

June 2013

We have had lots of fun being outside!  Here is Lucas chillin' as I pull weeds.

Madi was also enjoying being outside.  Here, she was being a little artist. :)

I thought this was a funny pic.  Lucas was still asleep in his car seat when we got home one day, so I left him in it.  I knew when he woke up, because I kept seeing his feet flying!  Too funny!

For anyone who knows Madi, she NEVER stops!  She has so much energy!!  Well, we had to snap proof that she had fallen asleep during our morning walk.  Crazy!

In this picture, she had pulled tons on things off the shelves, and was "swimming" through it!  I can't even tell you how many times I pick up her toys...

In June, we were honored to have my "Bronx Mom" Andrise come spend the day with us.  We went to the Springville parade, and then had a BBQ/swimming  at Mike's parents house.  It was tons of fun!  We loved seeing Andrise, and can't wait until we can go visit her in NYC! ;)

This was at the BBQ/swimming party.  Mike was trying to get Madi to drink out of the hose.  She just wasn't getting it (or wanting to).

One of Madi's favorite things to do is wear Daddy's shoes!

This kid is just too cool! ;)

I think it's adorable when I find them sleeping at the same time! :)  Awwww.... :)

We were able to get the Pass of all Passes this year.  We have loved going to Seven Peaks (a water park) on Mikes' days off.  This has been one way to semi-contain Madi.  She is figuring out how to climb out of the tube though.  She is way too smart for her own good!

Here is another time that they had both fallen asleep during our walk.  We had decided to take the single stroller, and Lucas started out in the carrier.  But once he fell asleep, we figured Madi wouldn't mind sharing a seat.  :)  I promise this is a rare occurrence for them to fall asleep on our walks! :)

I think this picture was the first time that I realized that they are really starting to look alike!  How fun!

We had a great month of June!!  Hope all is well for our family and friends!

May 2013

Here are a bunch of pictures from the month of May:

My handsome boys all ready for church!

We have been putting Lucas in the bumbo more often lately.  He doesn't quite know what to think of it...

Aunt Mary gave us another bumbo, and Madi thinks it is hers!  What is quite funny is that when she was a baby, she didn't fit in the bumbo.  But now that she is super active and on the smaller side, she fits in it!  Crazy girl!!

Yes, this picture is for real... Don't worry though, once I took the picture, I stopped her from sitting on him.  :)  What we will do for a picture, right? :)

We found out that Mikes' brother Dave and his family had taken a trip down to sunny St. George.  They invited us to come down as well.  We decided to crash their party and totally did an impromptu visit.  The kids were not super happy on the way down.  Mom had to sit in between them and try to keep them happy and occupied.
Lucas liked holding my hand... :)

This is before I went and sat back there with her.  What a sad face!

After I went back...

Mike was our handsome chauffeur. <3

Luckily this is how it was most of the way home! :)  Thanks again to Dave and Lindsey for letting us crash your party! :)

There was one night that both kids were asleep by like 8:30.  It was crazy!  I didn't even know what to do with myself! :)

This is when he still liked being swaddled... That time is long gone now!

Mike is such a helpful Dad.  Even if it's cuddling with Lucas so that I can get things done, he is super willing! :)

We were able to get all of Mike's family together to do a big family picture.  They haven't had one since before Mike left on his mission... That's FOREVER ago!!  (Mike is getting old...) :)  It was so nice, except that it ended up going a little later then expected, and our kids started to freak out.  We are totally routine people over here.  Break that routine, and you are in for some freak out sessions!  There are very few pictures where both kids are actually looking at the camera, and not crying.  But such is life!  This is a picture of Steve and Sheila with all of their grand kids!  What a great posterity! :)

This is a cute picture of Mike helping Madi to discover the trampoline.  She didn't know what to think!

We had a great month of May!  Hope you all did as well!! :)  Love to all!

April 2013

Here are a bunch of pictures from the month of April... Enjoy!

Madi had fallen asleep during lunch... Poor girl!

Madi loves the Dr. chair!!!  Apparently, she takes after her mom, who loved to spin on them too...

Mike got me a sewing machine!!  I was so excited!!  Here is a blanket that I made for Lucas.  It was my first project, and now I know some tips to make the next one better!

We were able to finally go out on a real date! (Thank you Becca!!)  We enjoyed a delicious meal at Los Hermonos, and then went to the store since we didn't have the kids.  I have heard that it is quite common for couples with kids to end up at the store, on a date! :)

I don't know how Madi found these, but it seems she is trying to tell us something... Too funny!!

Madi loves being outside!!  She especially loves flowers, and loves to pick them!  Yikes!

Our little guy is just over 2 month old in this picture!  He is growing so much!

This month we were able to purchase a Honda Pilot.  We have LOVED it so far.  It has a DVD player, and we wonder how we ever survived without one!  In this pic, Madi is enjoying treats with her uncle Danny, while watching Dora, her favorite!!

We took Madi out of her crib, and are trying to transition to the toddler bed.  This picture is of the first night...

This was her during her nap the next day... Silly girl!  She has been doing fairly well, although we did have a little scare.  We didn't know that these old doors in our little old farmhouse, had locks on the inside.  Well, one day, I put Madi down for a nap.  I asked Mike to check on her before he went to work.  Come to find out, she had locked the door, from the inside.  There was no way for us to open it!  To make matters worse, the screws on the handle had been painted over so many times that we couldn't get it off.  Mike ended up having to kick open the door to get it.  Wow, it was pretty traumatic!  We have since solved that problem, so it will not happen again! :)

Seriously, the little girl gives us a run for our money!!  Another nap time, I went up to check on her, and found her perched on the changing table!  I don't know how she got up there.  I got her down and laid her back into her bed.

A little while later, I went up and checked on her again, and found her asleep, again on the changing table!!  I think I have grey hairs already from her! :)

One Sunday, Madi was making good use of both recliners.

Our handsome Lucas was all ready for church.  Isn't he like a little man already?!?!  So cute!

We love that they are such great friends already!  We hope that continues for a long, long time!

Giving Lucas a kiss... How sweet! :)
