Madi Pictures

We cannot take enough pictures of Madi!  It is soooo fun to try and capture all her moods.  We want to share some fun ones that our wonderful friends and family have taken for us:

Mike's sister Karin gave Madi this hat when she was first born.  Unfortunately, I waited too long to put it on her, and I'm afraid her head is too big! :(

Our sister-in-law Lindsey makes these adorable shirts, with letters or whatever someone wants!  We have loved them!!

We have titled this picture, "I'm the Boss!"  We thought it was appropriate with the attitude she is showing. :)  By the way, this is her Christmas dress...

This is Madi's blessing dress...

We love our Madilynn Alora!!

Santa Lucia

The Robbins have a fun tradition of celebrating Santa Lucia.  They typically have someone wear a wreath on their head, and pass out doughnuts and pastries, which they eat for breakfast, by candle light.  Well, both of us forgot that morning, so we celebrated it at night, at like 11:45 pm, when Mike finally got off work.  (Of course it was just he and I, for little Madi was asleep, as she should have been at that time!)  Here are some of our candles and the doughnuts that we had.  Pretty fun!!

Madi Update...

We can't even believe how quickly Madi is growing up!  I hate to use the expression, but she really is "growing like a weed"!!  We went to the Dr. a few days ago for her 2 month well child check.  She is 12.4 pounds already, which puts her in the 90 percentile.  She is also 23.2 inches long, putting her at the 84 percentile for height!  The Dr said she is very balanced, and because I am breast-feeding her, we shouldn't be worried. :)  We feel so grateful that she is growing, and is so healthy and strong.

She loves when we have "Tummy Time".  She has such a strong little head that she amazingly keeps up.

Something funny about Madi... For those rare moments that she is upset and seems inconsolable, all we have to do is lay her on our bed and she settles right down.  We don't really understand it... She just really, really likes our bed!

We love love love our little girl!! She brings us so much joy, even when she makes funny faces...

Christmas Decorations

I LOVE the Christmas season!!!  I love spending time with family and friends, and remembering the true meaning of the season the birth of our Savior Jesus Christ.  What better way to get ready than to decorate? :)  This is our tree... Keep in mind we live in a basement, so it's kind of dark...

Then we have our entertainment center...

I thought the reflection of the flash in the TV was cool.  It's like the star of Bethlehem. :)

And of course, the decorations would NOT be complete without mistletoe...

We hope that everyone enjoys the excitement in the air, and hope we all look for ways to celebrate the real reason for the season!  Merry Christmas!

8 Weeks!!!

Tomorrow will be 8 weeks since our sweet, beautiful Madi was born!  We can't even believe how quickly the time has flown by!  She is now smiling on cue and has giggled in her sleep.  It's amazing how much she has added to our family!  We are now popular! JK! ;)  All in all, we know that families are forever, and we are so grateful we are an eternal family!!

Obviously we are little behind in our blog...so we will talk a little bit about some of the favorite things that we have been able to do this year.
We went to Disneyland in June with the Robbins Family!  It was super fun and we both got addicted to pin trading...I still have withdrawls every now and then hopefully we can go back this upcoming year!!  We were able to stay three days in both parks and seriously had so much fun.

Like the post before we had madi on October 4th.  barely.  11:54 p.m. and it was barely on Steve and Denise's Anniversary, it was our gift to them.:)  Madi is grandbaby number 21 on the Robbins side but on the Buhler side she is the first so she is soooo spoiled. :)  but she deserves it.  the second picture down is when Sarah and her sister Becca went to the Robbins Halloween party this year at my sister Kathy's house.  I had to work... but as you can see it was quite a party!  Becca dressed as Deb from Napoleon Dynamite and Sarah pulled off her old woman look very very well. :)  Madi was just cute being a duck but still a little big for her costume.  The third picture down is Madi's baby blessing which we had so many people turn out!!  Thank you for all your support for that special day.   We are so glad that so many were able to come and see our beautiful family.
This is when Madi was born! :)  We have enjoyed her so much she always reminds us how blessed we are and beautiful our life can be.  We are so grateful for my parents and siblings and for Sarah's Family for helping us out so much during this time!  We don't know where we would be without you guys.
