Madi turns ONE!!!!!

We cannot believe how quickly time flies by!!!  Our little Madilynn has turned one!!!  She has brought so much joy and happiness into not only our lives, but to many others as well.  She has such a kind and gentle nature, but can also be strong willed when she wants to be.  She has been developing right according to schedule.  Here is a sneak peek into her last 12 months:

For her big birthday, we had to have spaghetti, due to the old family tradition.  Not only do they get spaghetti, but they get to have the whole plate, and eat it with their hands!!

The anticipation was killing her!!!

Hmmm... Now what do I do?!?

Okay, I've got this!!

Please sir... Can I have some more? :)

We also had a little birthday party that was ladybug themed.  It turned out pretty cute!

Here is the cake that Aunt Becca made for Madi to enjoy.  It turned out so cute!

We had cupcakes for everyone else. These didn't turn out quite like I had hoped they would, but oh well...

This was Madi's high chair all decorated. :)

We decorated the tables in red tablecloths, and then cut out black circles of felt to put in the middle.  It turned out really cute!

Madi looked adorable in her outfit made by her Aunt Lindsey!  Thanks again Linds... :)

When we gave her the cake to eat, she kept looking at us like, "You want me to what?!?!"

"I can totally do that!!!"

Clean-up was intense, but it was worth it!!
Overall, it was a great party.  We are so happy to have been able to celebrate the joy in our life.  We are eternally grateful that Madilynn was sent to our family.  We love her more than words can express!!
Happy Birthday Madi!!!

Our Wonderful September (Part 2)

While we were in Park City, we had tons of fun in the many hot tubs the hotel provided.  Notice Madi... We are not quite sure what she was doing here. :)

The pools were tons of fun as well!  The boys were getting crazy!

One of our favorite activities was walking up and down Old Main Street in PC.  There was so much culture and diversity.  It was very unique and we were able to see a very "artsy" side of PC.  Madi enjoyed getting out too!

Overall, it was just nice to get away and have a little break. Hope to do it again soon! ;)

Some very exciting news we received this month, was finding out that our baby is going to be a boy!!!  The name that we have really been liking is Lucas Michael Robbins.  Everything looked good with the ultrasound.  The only thing they couldn't see was the blood flow out of the heart.  So, they scheduled a repeat ultrasound next month to double check.  They said it was most likely the way he was positioned, and not to worry. :(  Too late!

Later that day, we were able to go to the BYU verses Hawaii football game.  We were a little nervous taking Madi with us, but she did pretty well!

She was clapping and cheering right along with us and the crowd!

I think we have a true blue cougar fan on our hands!!!  Go cougs!!!! :)

September was tons of fun!!!  We hope all is well with all our family and friends!

Our Wonderful September! (Part 1)

The beginning of September started out with the wonderful arrival of my brother, Elder Samuel Grant Buhler returning home from serving an honorable two year mission in the Mexico City Northwest Mission!!  In this picture we were sitting in the airport waiting for him to get off the plane.

Here are some of the family holding signs, anxiously waiting... :)

Sam had left just before Mike and I got married, and so this is when he was meeting Madi "officially" for the first time! Since then they have definitely bonded!!

Here is a picture of everyone that came to the airport to welcome Sammy home!  Isn't he loved?!?! :)

The Buhler family reunited again!!!  Families ARE forever!!!

After Sam got home, we were able to go up to Park City for a few days to spend time as a family.  One of the days, we were able to go zip lining in Provo Canyon.  It was gorgeous!!

Doesn't Mike look thoughtful here?  I wondering if his life was flashing before his eyes? :)  JK!!

Here he goes!!!!!!!

Mike is that green dot... :)  Looks like fun!

We were the "official/unofficial" photographers of all the fun.  We had a blast!

Madi was just "hangin'" out... haha!

Of course Mike and I had our shopping day at the Outlets while we were up in Park City... complete with Cafe Rio for lunch! Yummy!!

I will do another post for the rest of our Park City trip, and the rest of our eventful September! :)
Love you all!!!

August in a nutshell... :)

Wow... I really need to update more often.  This way I don't have these massive posts every time!!
August has been a blast! Here is what we have been up to:

Mike's parents went on a little trip, and so they asked us to "house-sit" for them.  Madi loved playing in "her" cupboard most of the week!

So anytime Mike sits on this couch, he falls asleep.  Looks like Madi takes after her Daddy!!

Unfortunately, Madi was sick with a fever for most of the week. :(  She was moaning all the time, and wanted to constantly be held.  I didn't get much homework done, but did get to watch a lot of the Olympics!

My poor sick baby... :(

Madi also was bitten by a dog that week, right on the lip.  She was a trooper!  Everything was fine, and it is all healed now. :)

After a week of giving her tylenol and ibprofen, she totally knew what it was.  We were afraid we had turned her into an addict!! hahaha!!

We were able to go to Seven Peaks for Mike's work party.  It was tons of fun!  We also took Bryce, Lizzie, Becca, Jeffrey and Danny.  As you can see, we made great use of the tubes... They are not just for sliding or floating! :)

Mike said it was wierd to see co-workers in outfits other than work uniforms... :)

Overall, we had a blast!!! :)

August is also a special month, because it's Mike's birthday month!!!  This year we decided to have a big birthday bash, because Mike's birthday is on the 17th, and Jason's (his brother) has a birthday on the 19th.  We found out that their oldest sister Kristi and her family were going to be down from Idaho, so we invited everyone over for lunch and a swimming party!!!  It was so fun!  Jason and Lorelei brought this big blow-up water slide for the kids to play on.  They all LOVED it!!  All the adults were able to sit in the shade and chat.  It was so nice to have everyone together, and be able to celebrate!  I should have taken more pictures, but honestly, I forgot!  :)

Madi decided to help me build the candybar poster I made for Mike's birthday.  Isn't she such a great helper? :)

We were able to get a piggy-tail in Madi's hair for the first time!!!!!  It was so exciting, and she looked adorable!  Poor girl, I had to use ssssoooooooo much get to get it to stay. :)  Then once I took the elastic out, it stayed that way for a while! :)  Great mom award, right here! JK!

Here is another view of it... This was when Mike took Madi outside during primary, when she was getting a little fussy. :)  For all those who thought she was happy and pleasant ALL of the time... She is MOST of the time... :)  But she has started saying something that is close to "Da-Da"!  Mike is estatic!  You would think that all of the hours she spends with me during the day, I would have some kind of influence.  :)  But she knows exactly what she needs to do to keep her Daddy wrapped around her little finger! :) hahaha!!!

We have so much to be grateful for, and truly acknowledge God's hand, and love for us, in our lives.  We are thankful to know that God lives, that His Son, Jesus Christ is our Savior, and Redeemer, and the Atonement is truly infinite and real!  We hope that you all feel of God's love for you, and know that we love you too!!!
