August in a nutshell... :)

Wow... I really need to update more often.  This way I don't have these massive posts every time!!
August has been a blast! Here is what we have been up to:

Mike's parents went on a little trip, and so they asked us to "house-sit" for them.  Madi loved playing in "her" cupboard most of the week!

So anytime Mike sits on this couch, he falls asleep.  Looks like Madi takes after her Daddy!!

Unfortunately, Madi was sick with a fever for most of the week. :(  She was moaning all the time, and wanted to constantly be held.  I didn't get much homework done, but did get to watch a lot of the Olympics!

My poor sick baby... :(

Madi also was bitten by a dog that week, right on the lip.  She was a trooper!  Everything was fine, and it is all healed now. :)

After a week of giving her tylenol and ibprofen, she totally knew what it was.  We were afraid we had turned her into an addict!! hahaha!!

We were able to go to Seven Peaks for Mike's work party.  It was tons of fun!  We also took Bryce, Lizzie, Becca, Jeffrey and Danny.  As you can see, we made great use of the tubes... They are not just for sliding or floating! :)

Mike said it was wierd to see co-workers in outfits other than work uniforms... :)

Overall, we had a blast!!! :)

August is also a special month, because it's Mike's birthday month!!!  This year we decided to have a big birthday bash, because Mike's birthday is on the 17th, and Jason's (his brother) has a birthday on the 19th.  We found out that their oldest sister Kristi and her family were going to be down from Idaho, so we invited everyone over for lunch and a swimming party!!!  It was so fun!  Jason and Lorelei brought this big blow-up water slide for the kids to play on.  They all LOVED it!!  All the adults were able to sit in the shade and chat.  It was so nice to have everyone together, and be able to celebrate!  I should have taken more pictures, but honestly, I forgot!  :)

Madi decided to help me build the candybar poster I made for Mike's birthday.  Isn't she such a great helper? :)

We were able to get a piggy-tail in Madi's hair for the first time!!!!!  It was so exciting, and she looked adorable!  Poor girl, I had to use ssssoooooooo much get to get it to stay. :)  Then once I took the elastic out, it stayed that way for a while! :)  Great mom award, right here! JK!

Here is another view of it... This was when Mike took Madi outside during primary, when she was getting a little fussy. :)  For all those who thought she was happy and pleasant ALL of the time... She is MOST of the time... :)  But she has started saying something that is close to "Da-Da"!  Mike is estatic!  You would think that all of the hours she spends with me during the day, I would have some kind of influence.  :)  But she knows exactly what she needs to do to keep her Daddy wrapped around her little finger! :) hahaha!!!

We have so much to be grateful for, and truly acknowledge God's hand, and love for us, in our lives.  We are thankful to know that God lives, that His Son, Jesus Christ is our Savior, and Redeemer, and the Atonement is truly infinite and real!  We hope that you all feel of God's love for you, and know that we love you too!!!

We are expecting again!!!

We received so suprising news in July... We are going to be having another baby!!!  I was especially suprised, due to the fact that I was still nursing Madi!  But we have no doubt that Heavenly Father has hand in all things.  Therefore, we are really excited!!!  In fact, it's going to be really fun, because all three of the Robbins' boys have wives that are expecting in Febuary!  Both Lorelei and I are due Febuary 11th, and Lindsay is due Febuary 25th.  How fun will that be?!?!
We will be finding out if it's a boy or a girl towards the end of September.  So stay tuned!! :)

Summer fun

Hello from the Robbins' Family!  We hope all is well with everyone!  Here are some pics of our wonderful life lately:

Madi has become sooo interactive!  She loves people!!  In fact, I think she is quite bored with me at home.  She would much rather be out and about, or at either Grandparents home!

Madi loves her bath time!!  She patiently lets me wash her hair and soap her up, but then she is ready for the toys!!  She knows exactly where they are, and once we are done with the necessities, she is reaching for those toys! :)

The other day I decided to bath her in the kitchen sink (because Mike was taking a forever long shower...) and it was the funniest thing to see her trying to drink out of the faucet!  I have now idea where she learned that she could do that.  Mike and I sure don't drink out of the faucet.  Nonetheless, it made for an adorable picture! ;)

Madi's 9 month birthday just happened to land on the 4th of July.  So we were able to celebrate the blessing of our independence, and celebrate our little girl growing up.  It's amazing how quickly time flies by!

As Madi has become more mobile, we have had to baby-proof the house.  It is not as easy as you might think!  In this pic, Madi shows how she loves the cable receiver, and would turn it off whenever mom and dad were trying to watch a show.  Needless to say, we have now rearranged the entertainment center, with the receiver and the blue-ray player way up high!

Madi has this fun new game.  It's called "Take off my diaper when I don't have any pants on!"  Oh my goodness!!  She is so fast at it too!!  But, I have tried to outsmart her, and so she is dressed pretty much all the time now! :) haha

Grandpa Buhler is always teasing babies!  Whether it is sticking things in their toes, when they can't reach it, or whatever he come comes up with.  One day, he decided that Madi needed to go swimming.  My mom has this big metal bowl that he filled with water and let Madi splash and play in.  She had tons of fun!  And as you can see, she has the Buhler Bum!

During the summer, we have been able to do the water slide a few times.  This was one time, when she was having a blast with Auntie Lizzie!

It has been fun trying all sort of new foods.  SHE LOVES  TABLE FOOD!  In this pic, you can see how she takes after her daddy, with a love for mashed potatoes!

We've got one flexible girl on our hands!

I thought this picture was sooo funny!  We were at the American Fork Steel Days Parade... Who falls asleep at a parade?!?!  Grandpa and Madi do!! Wow!!

We have had a wonderful summer and look forward to many more adventures!

Love,
The Robbins Family
